10 Great Gift Ideas for Dad

Every year my family struggles to think of things to get me for Father's Day. Well, this year I'm going to make  it easy on them.

I also assume that father's day shopping is difficult for other families as well so hopefully this helps give you some ideas. I do need to disclose that the pictures are also affiliate links to Amazon and if you purchase through them I will receive a commission. I will be grateful as well. :)

Without further ado, here are my 10 suggestions of great gift ideas for father's day:

Gift #1: A cool tie

Gift #2: Barbecue "toys." Things like grilling utensils, or maybe a grilling cookbook like my wife got for me a few years ago. That was pretty neat as well.

Gift #3: Camping/outdoor equipment. Does he need a new tent? Maybe a camp chair?

Gift #4: Sports paraphernalia

Gift #5: Service coupons. Think "one free car wash" or "one free back massage." We're suckers for that.

Gift #6: A new tool, especially if it's a power tool. What tool has he been wanting? If you can afford it, get it for him. He'll love it.

Gift #7: A leather jacket

Gift #8: A great picture of you (his wife) for his office. A good picture of the kids is nice to have as well.

Gift #9: An apron or tee shirt with hand prints on it (I think every dad eventually ends up with at least one of these)

Gift #10: Popcorn. I LOVE popcorn. My favorite is from Garrett Popcorn Shops. But food in general is usually well received.

Gift #11: Tech toys (this one is for good measure to show you that I'm looking out for you)

Good luck this Father's Day. Just remember, the best present a dad can get is the love of his family. At the very least remind your husband and your father how much you love them and how much they mean to you. That will mean the very most.

Happy gift hunting!

  3. I know some men hate ties, but my hubby loves them! He has probably at least 100 of them. His favorites are the super hero ties :)

  8. Assuming Dad grills (I am the one who does it in our family), the barbecue tools are my favorite! Great idea.

  9. Garrett Popcorn is the best! For years, my sister would send us all tins of Garrett's Popcorn for Christmas. This past year, we sent it out to the family (and then visited everyone and ate from their tin buckets :)).

  10. I love it! I never knew how difficult it was to buy gifts for men in general :). I tend to have a sense of humor with my family of men, so it's always gsg gifts from the 99 cent store! Thanks for linking up with us ! My Favorite Posts SHOW OFF Weekend Blog Party :)

  11. Thanks for the share :). If you have to find gifts for a book lover you could always get them one of those In My Book cards and stuff it with maybe a Barnes and Noble gift card. Essentially these cards double as bookmarks which make them a really creative way to show that you care :).
